The new edition of RUSSEC – inaugural security Summit – is scheduled for April 2009.

The Summit will take place in UK in Oxford, hotel Eynsham Hall 22-24 April.

Last year the Summit was organized also in UK near Windsor: the carefully qualified Russian delegates, who included representatives from Lukoil, Russian Railways and Nizhnekamskneftekhim, enjoyed one-on-one meetings with representatives from top European security providers with a view to developing mutually beneficial business relationships.

Insolvencies in the UK Security market set to soar:

How to avoid the common mistakes a failing company makes
Restructuring specialists believe the number of UK insolvencies will soar by 55% towards the end of 2009, more than double the number before the credit crunch. However, a new analysis by business intelligence analysts Plimsoll Publishing, suggests that it’s not too late to save many of the 163 UK Security companies rated as being at high risk of failure. However the new report comes with a warning: if these 163 companies rated as danger are to survive, they must start to fix their problems now.

Paxton Access’ Best-selling Net2 Secures Conquest Hospital 

Based on a gently sloping site, the 16-year-old Conquest Hospital is a modern District General Hospital in Hastings. In 2002 Conquest merged with Eastbourne Hospital to form East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust. The busy Trust serves the population of East Sussex and employs over 5000 staff.

When the hospital’s access system failed in 2007 the cost of installing a new system by their current provider was too high. Security Manager, John Kirk investigated installing the Net2 access control system from Paxton Access.

The Government recently announced their commitment to invest 1 billion pounds in apprenticeships throughout 2009/10. The reason for this large investment is that more apprentices are required in order for the UK to have access to skilled workers to remain competitive.
