CriticalArc to Headline Sponsor HEBCoN Annual Conference

CriticalArc, the innovators of the revolutionary distributed command and control solution, SafeZone™ today announced their exclusive sponsorship of this year’s HEBCoN Conference from the 23rd to 24th October at Weetwood Hall, Leeds. The annual event sees HEBCoN members come together from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the UK and Ireland who are committed to sharing and promoting good practice in Business Continuity Management (BCM), risk management and emergency planning.

Speaking ahead of the conference, HEBCoN Deputy Chair and Head of Security at City University
London, Richard Mansfield, said, “We are thrilled to have CriticalArc on-board as sponsors. SafeZone is already fundamentally changing the way universities across the world are responding to every day incidents and major events to ensure preparedness, while minimising the impact on business continuity. Our members will have the chance to see how this type of innovative cloud-based technology can support their business continuity policies and emergency plans, while cost-effectively revolutionising day-to-day security operations.”

Darren Chalmers-Stevens, CriticalArc EMEA Director, added, “We’re excited to be part of the HEBCoN event, which provides a perfect showcase for our SafeZone solution. Delegates will learn how SafeZone is an easy-to-use software service that is helping higher education facilities create a safer learning and research environment as part of their risk management and business continuity strategy, while delivering multiple advantages without capital investment.”

Delegates attending this year’s HEBCoN conference will gain new understanding of current good practice in BCM. The event will feature presentations from the country’s leading risk management and BCM experts and workshops will provide insight into incidents and recovery experiences of HEIs with lessons learned.

The two day event also offers attendees understanding of new techniques around engaging with and influencing senior managers and wider stakeholders. CriticalArc’s CEO, Glenn Farrant, will deliver a presentation titled, “The impact of the latest technologies on managing incidents, communication, safety and security” on Day Two of the conference.
