Exceptional service recognised at the Unipart Security Annual Awards

Unipart Security officers, supervisors and managers who have made an outstanding contribution towards the company’s success were recognised at an annual awards ceremony which took place at Coombe Abbey, Coventry on 26th April, 2012.

The awards are open to all security personnel working for the Unipart Group or its clients who have performed acts of security excellence on the front line during the previous year. “We had a very high number of nominations this year,” said Colin Moore, Managing Director of Unipart Security Solutions. “This is without doubt a reflection of the high calibre of the people we recruit, as well as the passion and enthusiasm they have to ensure we exceed our clients’ expectations, over and beyond meeting our contractual obligations.”

Officer of the Year was awarded to Vladislav Sapojkov who is based at a logistics centre in Nuneaton. Vlad also shared the Team of the Year Award with his colleagues at Nuneaton, who were recognised for their commitment and expertise in anticipating and proactively detecting any onsite criminal activity. Barry Knight, a regional manager, who is based at Unipart Security’s head office in Weedon, won the Manager of the Year Award, whilst Supervisor of the Year was awarded to Darren Rowledge for his professionalism in performing his duties at ASOS, Barnsley. A Special Recognition Award was given to the security team based at Waterstones. Mick Roe received the award on behalf of the team which was given for the exceptional service they have provided to the client at a particularly challenging site.

Nominations for the awards are made by clients and Unipart Security personnel with the winners judged by a panel comprising of security officers and senior managers. “A key component of ‘Security – the Unipart Way’ is a commitment to look for continual improvement in everything we do. It is clear from this Awards ceremony that we are very fortunate to have no shortage of people on our team who consistently and enthusiastically embrace this philosophy,” said Colin Moore.
