Award success for Chiron’s IRIS Secure Apps alarm signalling system

Chiron’s IRIS Secure Apps alarm signalling system has been named as one of the year’s most important technology innovations in the hotly-contested Security Excellence Awards.

The system, which was launched in April, is transforming the way that alarm monitoring works, with new benefits for end-users, ARCs and installers.

Its innovative capabilities are making alarm monitoring more robust, reliable and affordable than traditional solutions.

“Remote security monitoring services are a foundation-stone of modern crime prevention planning but no system has, until now, fully addressed needs of all the parties relying on it.,” says Ian Tredinnick, CEO and founder of Chiron Security Communications. “IRIS Secure Apps does this. It delivers benefits which have never been seen before and also lays the foundation for further advances to come.”

The system greatly improves the way that ARCs monitor customer sites. It allows them to focus fully on detecting and dealing with criminal attacks and not waste time worrying about technical transmission problems.

“Centres using the system have been able to identify significant savings by re-deploying hot-desk staff away from diagnosing and fixing technical problems,” explains Chiron’s COO Kevin Swann. “These resources can be re-focused to the ‘sharp end’, monitoring what is actually happening on the protected premises.”

The IRIS Secure Apps system is also the first alarm transmission system which allows the security managers to see, at any time, the exact status of all his alarm transmission links. This includes the ability to check back over the system’s historical performance, to audit activity patterns, and to identify areas of risk.
