New ePAC Cylinder electronic proximity lock now available through Norbain
Now available through Norbain, the new ePAC Cylinder TM is a stand-alone or networked product designed to convert any Euro profile mechanical cylinder lock into an electronic proximity cylinder device, in just a matter of minutes.
Fast and simple to install, the ePAC Cylinder TM can replace existing key-based manual cylinders, without replacing the entire lock. Providing reliable and cost effective access to doors, the ePAC Cylinder TM can function in either stand-alone mode, or as part of a larger network. With wireless capability, the unit can link to the PAC range of controllers, providing an integrated door access solution.
Using the ePAC Cylinder TM provides simplified key management and affords access rights to be altered quickly and easily - without the need to change the entire cylinder in the event of altered access permissions or lost keys. The system also eliminates the need for expensive multiple key cutting and complicated key tracking systems.
In stand-alone usage, ePAC Cylinder TM can serve up to 200 key holders, whilst connection to PAC controllers using the optional wireless module affords up to 75,000 key holders, when linked to PAC SecureNet TM Integrated Access Control Administration Software.
Powered by replaceable 3V Lithium batteries and with a life of up to 30,000 operations, an external emergency power adapter is also available - to provide seamless access in all eventualities.
"Quick to install and program, the ePAC Cylinder TM offers installers an excellent alternative to any traditional Euro profile lock," says Tony Wedgwood, PAC Business Development Manager at Norbain. "With a robust IP65 rated construction, combined with various available lengths from 30/30mm to 70/70mm, installers are sure to find a direct ePAC Cylinder TM replacement for any application."
