The shipping package includes an infrared remote control as well as VIEWER software for simple system management and operation. Automatic alarm notification and multifunction PC solution

As small retails stores and restaurants rarely have a budget big enough to position an employee permanently in front of a surveillance monitor, the PCS-19/DVR-08 comes with an integral motion detector and alarm contacts so that a message is automatically sent to the defined e-mail address in the event of an alarm – the person responsible for monitoring can react immediately if they have a mobile phone with e-mail capability such as a BlackBerry or iPhone. The PiP function is available for applications in offices: this function also allows the system to be used as a multifunction PC solution in which office applications or other programs display live imagery from surveillance cameras as a Picture in Picture.

H.264 compression for reduced bandwidth requirements

The integral 320GB hard disk allows storage of up to one week’s video data at a resolution of 352x240pixels (maximum resolution 704x576 pixels). Real-time backup onto external storage media is available as an option. The PCS-19/DVR-08 works using efficient H.264 compression for network transmission of video data in high quality with simultaneously reduced bandwidth requirements. A mouse, external hard disk or DVD writer can be connected at the two integral USB ports.
