VIDEX Leads the Way in New Trends in Domestic and Social Housing Security

Today’s UK domestic and social housing door entry and access control systems market is more competitive than it has ever been.  Manufacturers and suppliers are selling a range of products that compete on many levels including price, technology, quality and aesthetic appeal.  However, the demands from the market change very quickly and the challenge for manufacturers such as Videx Security is to respond to these as quickly as possible.

Specific design features of the latest DDA compliant door entry panels include illuminated braille call buttons, brightly coloured LEDs for speak, and door open functions as well as induction loops for those with impaired hearing and brightness adjustment on video monitors and for user convenience a three position call tone volume adjustment. All Videx door entry systems have been designed with the option to interface with existing telephones allowing the occupier to make and receive calls from the same telephone.

Vandal resistant door entry solutions include two wire audio and six wire non coax video systems.  These are available in either functional or digital versions with added DDA features including voice annunciation of a calls progress and full English text high contrast LCD display. These types of panels are by their very nature robust and secure. Amplifier modules are also available for both individual use or as a part of a larger system.  Ancilliary products such as mono or colour video cameras, codelocks, proximity readers and induction coil modules can also be specified.

Domestic and social housing security is an issue that demands an instant remedy and easy installation. Videx is putting much time and effort into this area and many of the systems now available require less cabling than previous and are far less challenging to install.
