Mirasys to support 500 IP and Megapixel camera models in 2009

Mirasys supports five new Megapixel camera manufacturers and three other IP camera manufacturers

Mirasys, one of the world’s leading providers of open platfor m digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, has announced that its customers will now be able to use additional IP cameras from Dynacol or , Pix or d and Siqura from Optelecom-NKF, and megapixel cameras from Mobotix, Panasonic, Pelco and Sony in conjunction with Mirasys rec or ders. Drivers for this extended functionality will be available as standard in the newest versions of Mirasys NVR Pro and NVR Enterprise, shipping in May, while the previous versions of Mirasys rec or ders are easy to update with the latest software upgrades.

“We have responded to customers demanding increased choice in cameras by  upgrading our capabilities in IP camera support,” said Jukka Riivari, chief executive officer at Mirasys. “This move, combined with the trend towards standardisation and continuous improvements in IP camera offerings, will extend the number of integrated camera models supp or ted by Mirasys to over 500 by end of this year.”
