SANYO to offer HD camera technology training courses

SANYO has announced that it will be offering training courses to educate end-users, specifiers and consultants, installers, system integrators and distributors on how to design, install and commission a CCTV system based around Full HD camera technology.

“Since the beginning of 2010 we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people who wish to learn more about our Full HD camera range,” said David Hammond, European Sales Manager for SANYO’s CCTV division. “ It is clear that there is a hunger for information on how to capitalise on the substantial benefits offered by Full HD camera technology . We have therefore decided to invest in the development of four separate modular training courses, all of which will be certificated and tailored to cater for the specific requirements of different types of stakeholders, i.e. end-users, consultants, installers/system integrators and distributors.”

SANYO has retained the services of Stephen Lightfoot to design and produce the content of the four training courses. Stephen has worked within the CCTV industry since 1985, initially qualifying as an Electronics Engineer at what is now the University of Lancashire in Preston. He has worked as a self-employed technical consultant since 1996, working in both CCTV/EAS and IT sectors, providing technical services for several major manufactures including Dedicated Micros, Sensormatic and Samsung. “Stephen’s vast technical knowledge of CCTV systems makes him the ideal person to entrust with designing and producing our certificated training courses,” added David Hammond.

SANYO launched its range of real time Full HD cameras at the end of 2009. The nine cameras are collectively designed to provide a solution for virtually any project with vandal resistant domes, PTZ cameras and a zoom camera included in the range, as well as a choice of three fixed cameras with CS mounts to provide a choice of lens.

End-users, consultants, installers/system integrators and distributors who wish to attend one of the SANYO training courses which will take place at SANYO UK head offices in Watford, Herts from late Summer 2010 onwards, can do so by emailing: cctv.uk.sel@sanyo.com
