First Vandal Proof Dome Cameras to Exceed IK10 +

This new series of CCTV Dome represents the ultimate in vandal proof product with each model type having been independently tested to determine their level of impact protection, which is represented by the IK code. This is an international numeric classification for the degree of protection provided by enclosures against external impacts. The range of dome cameras offers impact protection from IK 10+ (Resistance to impact from 10kg object from 40cm) right up to IK 10+3 (30kg from 40cm) for the most demanding applications e.g. prisons. These cameras are the first into the market with vandal domes, which exceed the IK 10+ rating.

They are available in three basic formats first a polycarbonate dome with impact and scratch resistant bubble suitable for general Indoor and outdoor use. A second dome, specially designed for rail projects fully certified to meet the international and EMC rail standards. These have a ruggedized aluminium vandal proof housing and a robust durable flame retardant glass reinforced nylon body. Finally, the toughest of all made from die-cast aluminium housing, A unique conical shape with numerous mounting points and ligature point free. All these can be fitted with a range of cameras including Sony HQ1 DSP, WDR Pixim® and true day/night versions.

These domes are designed to work in the harshest environments and will provide a cost effective solution for many applications.
