VIDEX INTRODUCES NEW PRODUCT BUILDER CD

First introduced in 2000, Videx Security's Product Builder CD has transformed the way in which designers, specifiers and installers approach the design of door entry and access control products. Since then it has been continually improved, with ease of operation being one of the main areas of attention.

The latest version has been enhanced even further and contains information on all the latest Videx door entry kits including the 4000 series, Vandal Resistant VR4K, the innovative GSM, VX2300 two wire video and the VX2200, with its expanded capabilities. The Product Builder CD also contains all installation manuals, datasheets and product literature.

Users can not only identify a specific product but can also expand the selected system with the addition of doors, telephones or video handsets. They can then view or print a complete parts list, create a block diagram of the designed system and the installation manual. Where a system is being designed, from a single door to a multiple door installation, the layout and sizes of all door panels audio, video and functional can be displayed with, for example, user instructions and button engraving added.

Modular Videx panels can be rearranged on the screen to allow unlimited combinations and layouts. A full parts list of all components can be produced including prices and these can be adjusted by the user to show discounts and mark ups.

Other additions to the latest Product Builder include new product photographs and updated datasheets, manuals and brochures. The new “PDF It!” feature for parts list and picture view allows them to be converted to PDF. The new Videx corporate video is also included as a flash programme.
