Samsung launch two new high performance iPOLiS network domes
Samsung’s new network PTZ dome cameras, the SNP-3350 and SNP-3750 incorporate an MPEG-4/JPEG dual codec to allow multi-streaming of high resolution real-time images at 25 frames per second.
Both of the recently launched models can simultaneously stream up to six different channels of MPEG-4 or JPEG video at 4-CIF, CIF or QCIF.
Part of the Samsung iPOLiS network product range, the SNP-3350 and SNP-3750 are both true day/night cameras with a removable Infrared Cut filter (IRC) which allows the cameras to automatically switch from high quality colour images during the day-time, to clear, sharp and infrared responsive monochrome images at night.
The SNP-3350 has a 33x optical lens, whilst the SNP-3750 with a 37x optical lens and a 12x digital zoom, has a massive combined 444x zoom capability to capture clear images of far away objects
Megapixel Basler IP Dome Cameras with a microSDHC Card Slot
Basler Vision Technologies has expanded their IP security camera portfolio to include network cameras with a fixed dome housing and a microSDHC card slot. The BIP-D1000c-dn and BIP-D1300c-dn dome camera models, with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a megapixel resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels respectively, have already entered series production.
With their vandal-resistant aluminum housings, Basler IP Fixed Dome Cameras allow video surveillance applications outdoors and under tough indoor conditions with an operating temperature range from -35° C to +50° C (-31° F to +122° F). The silicon seals used in the weather-proof housings are extremely durable and temperature resistant.
Basler IP Fixed Dome Cameras are especially energy efficient. All functions, including the fan and heater, can be powered using standard PoE (Power over Ethernet - IEEE 802.3af Class 0).

Honeywell Adds High Definition Mini-Dome to IP Portforlio
HD3MDIPX Provides A Cost-Effective Transition to IP Systems
Honeywell announced the latest addition to its EQUIP(r) family of IP products and the first in a series of high definition cameras. The new HD3MDIPX indoor mini-dome provides 720p images at extremely low bandwidth for significantly reduced storage requirements-even in low light.
The HD3MDIPX is the latest addition to Honeywell's expanded IP portfolio of high definition (HD) cameras that allows end users to integrate a broad range of digital technology into their analogue systems. The HD mini-dome provides extremely high picture quality at the cost of traditional analogue cameras. It features an externally accessible web-based menu to let operators view and control cameras from virtually anywhere, and camera tamper detection alerts users instantly if a camera has been obstructed or vandalised.
Bosch Security Systems has launched a new on-line product selector tool to help installers and specifiers to quickly and accurately choose the correct MIC Series make, model and accessories to match their specific requirements.
The launch of the new selector tool builds on the work Bosch has already been doing to rationalise part codes and improve product quality since manufacturing of the MIC Series transferred to a dedicated facility in Ovar, Portugal, as Ian Crosby, Product Marketing Manager (CCTV) explains:
“At the start of the year we were faced with more than 750 different part codes and type numbers for the MIC series, and understandably this led to some difficulty and confusion in correctly specifying what was needed,” he says.
“Our immediate action was to consolidate the range and rationalise the number of models available to (125), and this we have successfully achieved. Our next step was to look at lead times, reducing deliveries from six weeks at our previous facility to a remarkable four days today for our most popular models (those prefixed with an ‘A’ code), and still only 14 days for the more specialist MICs.”
