Bosch Perimeter Surveillance

Every perimeter surveillance application is different. Unique layouts combined with varied surrounding terrain; land, trees, water, hills neighbouring buildings and infrastructure all impact upon the installation of a perimeter surveillance system.

Security personnel need adequate warning and response time for a breach of the perimeter. It is not sufficient to simply know a breach of the perimeter has occurred.

Security officers need more information in order to react appropriately. They need to know the type of threat with which they are dealing, from where the threat is coming, and where it is headed.

For exceptional performance both day and night, Bosch Security’s EX range of integrated infra-red cameras deliver the most advanced level of day/night imaging available. With analogue, IP and Megapixel variants the EX family can provide 24/7 surveillance capabilities in all weather conditions . The EX85 is at the pinnacle of today’s most advanced imaging technologies, combining dual megapixel sensors,

IP Infrared Imaging design and Black Diamond night vision technology

For a more traditional approach of a CCTV camera used in co-ordination with separate illumination, infra-red or white light, Bosch has award winning products. The Dinion range of cameras has been recently been enhanced with the launch of the new Dinion 2X cameras.

The Black Diamond technology featured in Bosch Aegis lighting range delivers light to the foreground and background of the cameras field of view for night-time images free from hot spots and overexposure. Patent pending Constant Light technology automatically adjusts and controls light output to compensate for LED degradation and deliver uncompromising lighting enabling the optimum night-time performance of analogue and IP cameras along with enhanced performance for video analytics.

Perimeter surveillance systems can be enhanced by using a public address, or voice evacuation system, to support the CCTV system. A message manager can be used to broadcast pre-recorded announcements when an alarm event occurs. The messages can be merged to allow even more flexible use of pre-recorded announcements and evacuation messages.

With the Bosch Plena Voice Alarm System controller up to 255 messages can be stored in the internal 16 MB flash ROM, without a need for battery backup. Each message can have any length within the total available capacity. The unit has 12 contact trigger inputs for business and emergency (EMG) calls. Each can be configured for a message consisting of a sequence of up to eight wave files.

In this way some wave files may be used in various combinations with other messages, optimizing flexibility and the amount of storage space used . Multiple messages can be merged to form one integrated message. A zone selection, together with this sequence can be configured for each trigger input.
