Access control specialist TDSi ’s VUgarde IP video surveillance range offers complete control over a single building or multiple sites’ surveillance systems, whilst integrating with existing systems and making the whole process straightforward and intuitive. Various parts of the range can be combined to offer specific solutions which match the specific needs of the organisation.

Central to the range is the VUgarde Pro software which is based on true client server architecture and gives full control of live and recorded video and alarm system management. The product provides full control of both live and recorded video, PTZ control and alarm management through an extremely intuitive user map interface. VUgarde PRO has been designed with ease of use to the fore, with drag and drop functionality throughout to make the display of multiple live and recorded video streams an extremely straightforward task.

A single user interface enables fast set up of users, user groups, devices, alarms and triggers and maps may be easily uploaded to the server to visualise and control them from a single graphical interface.

VUgarde NVR is a Microsoft .NET framework-based service and high-end enterprise level Networked Video Recorder application that is capable of handling up to 32 streams of IP video. Highly adaptable, all or part of a recording may be exported in multiple formats and a native format may be exported with a water-mark to prove it has not been tampered with, to retain evidential integrity. Trans-coded recordings may be transferred to other formats including MPEG4, ASF and FLV for easy viewing on standard players.

VUgarde WALL provides the ideal surveillance solution for central monitoring and control room applications. Featuring a virtual matrix, this powerful application can display up to 25 streams of video per module. It supports IP streams from a wide range of manufacturers for maximum flexibility and­ cameras may be mixed and matched to suit project needs. There is a choice of video pane layouts and automated motion-event driven displays, so the user can find the best solution for them.

TDSi also recognises that being able to use video recordings, whatever their format, is a crucial need. VUgarde Play is a tool which gives the ability to use a Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) client to view video streams from the VUgarde suite of products or any other RTSP compliant stream. This is especially useful where there is an array of different IP cameras in use using a variety of codecs which may not be compatible with popular standards such as MPEG4 and H264. VUgarde Play can also be easily exported together with the recording, providing a convenient package that contains everything needed to view the recording.
