Make the space suit the cooking style



The key to any successful kitchen is making the most of the space available and installing appliances that most suit your cooking style.

Glen Dimplex Homes Appliances has recently launched a number of new products which are ideal for more compact kitchens but without compromising on style.

Jon Brennan, Commercial Manager for built-in at Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, said: “ Modern kitchens are shrinking so in built-in we’ve recently been experimenting with new cooker configurations, focusing on space-saving and ease of use for the consumer. 

“The result of this development work has been the twin cavity Stoves Duo Cook SEB900FPSMW and Belling BI90FMW Micro Cook – which both combine a spacious fanned oven with an 800w microwave in a single unit. This is an absolute first and makes clever use of space, so it is ideal for those with smaller kitchens.”

The Stoves Duo Cook is a 90cm built-in electric cooker comprising of a 20 litre, 800w side-opening microwave with grill in the top cavity and a spacious 69 litre fanned oven.

The BI90FMW Micro Cook by family favourite Belling, also has a 90cm built
in oven
and 800w microwave with a fascia cooling system. The main cavity plays host to a variable rate electric grill and oven with an easy to clean enamel finish.  

Both appliances are A-energy rated and will be manufactured in the UK . 

Brennan continued: “The built-in oven market is an exciting one because of the breadth of choice it offers to consumers across a full spectrum of price points. Consumers demand versatility and intelligent features that make producing everything from cheese on toast to restaurant quality food at home much easier and we believe these new products give our customers a further option and more flexibility when it comes to kitchen planning.”

Continuing with the space saving theme, Belling has also expanded its portfolio of 50cm freestanding appliances, with the launch of two new gas cookers to appeal to those with more compact kitchens. The FSG50TC is a gas oven with separate gas grill and the FSG50DO is a
freestanding gas double oven.




Available in silver the new appliances share the same strong, modern aesthetic as the existing Belling 60cm freestanding range, with wide, sleek handles and a useful glass lid.

For those looking to make a statement in their kitchen the New World Colours collection is proving to be a real hit.

This range of single and double built-in ovens which contrast black glass with a brightly coloured trim available in metallic purple, blue, green, red and - for those looking for something extra special - an ultra-shiny chrome finish. 

The collection comprises of the NW601F, an A-rated single 60cm single electric fanned oven with electric fanned grill, defrost function and drop down door or, for the keen baker looking for a trade-up, the fully programmable NW601FP.

For those looking for additional capacity, New World offers the NW701DO, a 70cm electric double oven which can be built-in or under. AA-rated for energy efficiency, the double oven features a fanned electric oven, a top conventional oven, dual circuit grill and drop down doors. Alternatively, regular entertainers or large families may wish to choose the NW901DO double oven, which at 90cm offers even more cooking capacity and creative space.

Chefs who prefer to cook on gas have also been well catered for with the launch of the 60cm gas single oven NW601G which comes with an electric grill. Like the electric models, consumers have the option to go bigger, choosing from the 70cm NW701G with separate gas grill, or the 90cm NW901G built-in gas double oven with gas grill.
