Miele appoints Nigel Smith as Executive Chef

Miele, the German premium domestic appliance manufacturer, is proud to announce the appointment of Nigel Smith as its new Executive Chef.

Nigel Smith is Chef Patron at the country house hotel and restaurant The Villa at Wrea Green,Lancashire.

Nigel has worked with many iconic chefs over the years, including Albert Roux and Anton Edelmann, and is acclaimed for his own eclectic range of cooking styles. He’s won many awards including Good Food Guides Taste of Britain Award, Life Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year, National Chef of the Year and Hi-Life Dining Best North West Restaurant.

Nigel’s restaurant at The Villa is regularly attended by celebrities and media personalities while his outside catering business is thriving. His cookery school also hosts individually tailored classes with hands-on cooking and chef demonstrations. Visit www.thevilla.co.uk for details.

As part of his collaboration with Miele, Nigel will act as a consultant for enhancing Miele Simply Cooking events, conduct consumer demonstrations, promote Miele at the Grand Designs exhibition in May 2012, support Miele’s Events Manager with the future opening of regional cookery schools and develop recipes for the cookery schools and the Miele website.
