Another design award for Abode

Yet another Design Award win for Abode, the stylish tap, sink and shower manufacturing and design outfit from Barnsley!

The ‘House Beautiful Awards 2010’ Silver Award, presented by the high circulation, major glossy consumer magazine, was won by Abode for Desire, the unique, first ever thermostatically controlled waterfall bath filler with shower diverter.

A very happy Darren Holliday, Managing Director of Abode says, “This is the second prestigious Award for Abode this year and endorses that our designers are among the best in the industry. As a team, we wanted to give consumers something which they felt very safe with and we feel that Desire has achieved this. Desire assures the user that the bath filler/shower diverter is safe to use without fear of scalding.

Cascading flows of water were the inspiration behind the Desire range. The taps are sloped and the spouts have been exclusively designed to be non-splash to ensure that water cascades evenly into the basin or bath without leaving any residue water in the cut-out spouts to become unhygienic.
