De Dietrich partnership with cookery school

As part of an ongoing campaign to work as an appliance partner with centres of cooking excellence, De Dietrich Kitchen Appliances has teamed up with the newly established Cheshire Cookery School in Altrincham. In order to celebrate its opening, a VIP launch event was held on 10th June 2010 with over 230 guests.
The Cheshire Cookery School is the brainchild of founder, Andrew Warnes and while a separate venture, is situated adjacent to The Altrincham Kitchen Centre and COD Electrical Showroom. The highly respected kitchens and electrical business, owned by the Warnes family, is one of the largest suppliers of high specification kitchens and appliances in the North-West.
The school has been completely purpose-built in order to provide a state-of-the-art cooking experience and features a wide range of cooking products from the De Dietrich 2010 collection of appliances. Integrated within Alno Kitchen furniture and using Silestone worksurfaces, there are eight workstations situated around two u-shaped central islands and all feature the latest modular zoneless Continuum induction hobs and multifunction pyroclean ovens for students to work with. The spacious demonstration area incorporates a large modular induction zone, a powerful induction wok, the Compact 45 collection of multifunction pyroclean oven, microwave combination oven and steam oven together with the award-winning intelligent DOP895X ICS Oven. A downdraft extractor is used for demonstrations, while two cylinder island hoods are situated above the student workbenches.
Jason Palin, chef-director of the Cheshire Cookery School together with Deborah Loader, national business development and training manager for De Dietrich performed a number of demonstrations during the opening event using a variety of recipes that will be taught on the wide range of day and evening courses offered by the school. Jason Palin is a highly regarded chef in the region, who trained in Australia under the direction of award-winning chef Dietmar Sawyere. Since returning to Britain he has both lectured on cookery while enhancing his reputation with a regular cooking programme on local radio. He is an active exponent of locally sourced foods from the North-West region.
Andrew Warnes, managing director of the Cheshire Cookery School says: "Cooking is one of my great passions in life and like all great passions it is best shared. It has been a long-held dream of mine to create a cookery school and being situated next to COD Electrical and the Altrincham Kitchen Centre means that we can both offer cookery courses, and ‘try before you buy’ opportunities. We are pleased to be working with De Dietrich and all our partners in this venture and believe it will be a great success for all."
Richard Walker, sales and marketing director of De Dietrich Kitchen Appliances says: "We are absolutely delighted that Andrew Warnes chose De Dietrich to be the appliance partner for the CheshireCookerySchool. The new cookery school is both stunning to look at and has been incredibly well designed in order to offer an ideal cooking experience. Jason Palin has created courses for all skill levels, whether students are professional cooks or novices, and our appliances are perfectly suited to complement this offer."
