The bathroom of the future on display
Following the huge success achieved at ISH 2009, Roca, world leader in the definition of bathroom space, will be exhibiting once again at the next edition of the ISH Fair in Frankfurt.
At the last edition of the fair, Roca surprised everyone who attended with a unique stand space which directly conveyed to visitors the values of the brand: leadership, innovation, design, comfort and sustainability. The project was recognized at international level with the ‘Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2009’ for the best space of the 50 th edition of the ISH trade fair in 2009.
Roca’s priority is to create unique and innovative solutions for the bathroom. A clear example is the W+W concept, presented at ISH 09 where it was awarded the Design+09 award for its sustainable and innovative design, reaffirming Roca as the leading global brand that defines the bathroom space.
The 51st edition of the biennial ISH trade fair will start on March 15 th in Frankfurt. Roca will be present with an avant-garde space designed by the Dan Pearlman Studio, which will display Roca’s most innovative bathroom solutions for 2011 . With sustainability, design and the most cutting-edge technology as the common denominators , Roca will present its latest proposals for the bathroom, conveying to visitors the core messages of the brand: Innovation + Design, Creating New Emotions, Love for the Planet, and Defining New Bathroom Experiences.
Among the new features of Roca for 2011, the exclusive Armani / Roca bathroom space stands out. It is an essential concept of elegant interior design, created in collaboration with the prestigious Italian brand.
Also new is a stand-alone basin design called Amberes (shown right) which is ideal for bathrooms where space is at a premium.
Furthermore, there is a new brassware range, Hybrid Faucets, with a dual technology which means it can be can be operated as either single lever or electronic dependin g on the preference of the user, who can switch between the modes by pressing a small button on the side of the tap. In the electronic mode, the water flow stops when the user’s hands move away offering significant water savings by only using the exact amount required.
ISH will also see the preview of a new technology developed by Roca for WCs. In.Tank is the first WC in the market to offer wall-hung and back-to-wall options which do not require a concealed cistern, making them extremely easy to install. The cistern, which features Fluidmaster Soft Air Technology, also offers three flushing options which allow the user to select between 3, 4.5 and 6 litres. The new In.Tank will be introduced to Roca’s Meridian-N range.
The Gap collection will also be on display. Launched in 2010, it is now one of the best selling ranges in the UK for Roca. Made from vitreous china, The Gap is an original and all-encompassing classic white suite, with a minimalist design form and smooth clean lines. Incorporating eight wall-hung basins, three WCs and bidets, and a matching bath, The Gap is one of the most comprehensive sanitaryware ranges available from Roca. The recently introduced coordinating furniture range is available in Beige, White or Grape finishes.
Finally, Roca will also emphasise its commitment to the environment, which most recently has resulted in the We Are Water Foundation. This was set up by Roca with the objective of making the world population aware of the need to reduce the negative effects related to the lack of water resources on the planet.
ISH is the most important international trade fair in the bathroom sector, attracting thousands of visitors to each show – at ISH 2009 more than 217,000 visitors attended.
Roca will be exhibiting in Hall 3.1 Stand C69 at ISH 2011.
