Whirlpool UK appoints a new MD

Whirlpool UK has appointed Ian Railton to Managing Director. Previously Commercial Director Ian takes the reins from Paolo Conte who has returned to Whirlpool Europe HQ, to the position of Vice President, Central and Eastern Markets and Key European Accounts.

Ian, responsible for developing and implementing the UK strategy is a stalwart member of the Whirlpool team, having joined the company in 1989. He brings a wealth of experience having begun his career in Whirlpool UK as Built-In Product Manager. This was followed by a number of sales and marketing roles in the UK and more recently in Italy , where he worked as General Manager within the Central European Key Account Team. Ian came back to the UK to the UK in October 2008, which prepared him well for his new position.
