Technology at Grand Designs

Specialist worksurface supplier, Sylmar Technology Ltd, enjoyed a huge response to its participation at the recent Grand Designs exhibition at the NEC Birmingham.

The company displayed ‘Mocha’, ‘Lava’ and ‘Latte’ from its ever popular ‘Maia ‘collection and ‘ Copper Canyon ’ from its Avonite range. Maia is an affordable alternative to many of the synthetic worksurfaces currently on the market and this was reflected in the huge interest shown by consumers visiting the show.

Director of Retail Sales and Marketing, Julian Annison says “Our participation at the show was a new departure for us as we haven’t exhibited at a consumer show like this before. It gave us a great opportunity to talk to our end consumers and support our brands. Although it’s a difficult one for us to gauge, even at this early stage we have no regrets as the leads generated, combined with our ability to exhibit to so many consumers means the exercise was worthwhile. If the show is anything to go by it shows that consumer confidence appears to be returning and we have already provisionally booked our stand for Birmingham 2010 as well as the London Grand Design show at Excel!”
