Affordable great design

The next collection for 2010 is a new modern kitchen classic featuring a streamlined cubic shape, new innovative materials and door designs all with the promise of making great design affordable. The next collection includes next125 and the handleless nextline range, which rival premium brands for the finish and the fixtures, but offered at a mid-market price.

Each next kitchen has a pure cubic shape, made possible by a depth of 575mm, which not only looks beautiful but provides additional storage space, demonstrating how creativity can be combined with practicality. The next collection is also built on a Raster system of 125mm, usually the preserve of premium kitchens, so that the line in the kitchen is continuous and unbroken.

next introduces a new material. Model NX850 and NL800 in Polaris White is a solid laminate 20mm door enabling next to design a patented ‘letter box handle’ so that the line of the door is not interrupted by protruding handles or grip ledges.

Other new door finishes include real wood veneers from sustainable sources, smooth and soft or textured matt lacquers, and high-gloss lacquers with mirror-like reflections. New colours for the 2010 collection include Truffle Brown, Lava Black in a matt textured lacquer, Polaris White in a solid laminate, plus new wood veneers in Blond Ash and Walnut. The next collection features 53 door front options plus 12 glass design fronts in plain or floral patterns.

The beauty of the next collection is not limited to the external fronts. Next carcases have a new light grey interior colour which is in a silk finish, extremely soft and smooth to the touch and very upmarket.

The next collection is also about practicality with thought and attention to detail applied to fixtures and fittings. There are new internal drawer fixtures in real black ash combined with stainless steel. Fixtures include cutlery trays, spice trays, plate and pot holders, ceramic containers with black ash lids.

This attention to detail extends to new electronic assisted opening systems for lift-up wall units and pull-out larder units.

Retail prices for a next kitchen start from £8,000 excluding VAT.
