Electronic Tender Initiative from Moores

Moores has always taken environmental issues seriously, so after discovering that nearly 5 million tonnes of paper are added to landfill every year in the UK , it has taken a decisive step to significantly reduce its personal contribution to this statistic. With around 150 new tenders arriving at the Moores office by post every month, it became clear that despite recycling all this paper, the best policy, surely, would be to avoid receiving the paper in the first place. The company has taken the proactive step to reduce its paper waste by asking all business customers, from this day forward, to send tenders in an electronic format.

But it doesn’t just make a deal of sense from an environmental point of view. Conducting business via electronic tenders instead of paper versions immediately speeds up the transaction. Moores is able to react much faster, thereby reducing design and quote lead times, saving everyone time and money. The electronic format is also far easier and quicker to disseminate around the company, improving the flow of communication and efficiency of the whole process.

Moores CEO Peter Wilson adds, “Our Electronic Tender Initiative shows how determined we all are at Moores to be as environmentally responsible as we possibly can. We are also confident that using electronic tenders will streamline operations between us and our customers, meaning that it’s also a canny business move for everyone concerned.”

Customers are able to send their electronic tenders to direct on: tenders@moores.co.uk alternatively they can send their CD-ROMs to:
