SieMatic launches new worktop

Leading German kitchen manufacturer, SieMatic, is launching the latest in worktop design at London ’s Urban showroom. The Limestone worktop called ‘Malijat Brown’ makes a subtle addition to this season’s latest colour trend – Truffle Grey.

The 1cm ‘optic’ worktop is designed to give a sleek appearance, so as not to distract from the classic proportions of the S2 kitchen. Although they give the appearance of 1cm worktops, they are in fact reinforced underneath, ensuring that they will remain secure through a lifetime of use. Solid and heavy, a 1cm thickness of stone makes for an easy installation, weighing far less than a standard 30mm or 40mm thick worktop.

Senior Designer at Urban Interior, Sara Wells says “the architectural and geometric clarity, coupled with the muted modern tones of taupe and mushroom, give the kitchen a very definite stance and appeal that reflects the metropolitan chic of our times”.

The Malijat Brown limestone worktop retails from £420 including VAT per linear metre. It sits neatly on the S2 kitchen, in Truffle Grey which retails from £30,000 including VAT.
