Greener friendly laundry

Gorenje, one of Europe ’s leading home appliance manufacturers, has recently introduced a new range of eco-friendly washing machines and dryers, which operate with innovative technology and are suitable for every kitchen without compromising design or cost.

From 1 st March through to 31 st May 2010 , Gorenje is offering a free five-year parts and labour guarantee on any one of four washing machines and dryers. These include the WA72145 and WA72145BK washing machines and the D72325 and D72325BK condenser dryers; available in either a classic white or stylish black finish.

Both washing machine models offer a 7kg load capacity and variable 1400rpm spin speed, and feature innovative UseLogic® technology, which delivers ‘A+’ class energy, wash and spin performance. Intelligent sensor technology continuously monitors the purity of the water and the amount of foam, and automatically takes care of additional rinsing where appropriate. In addition to the standard washing programmes, these machines also feature a number of special functions, such as the 17-Minute Quick Wash , the Mix and Easy Ironing options, and more importantly the 30ºC Wash option, which can save at least 40% electricity and thereby reducing those energy bills!

The condenser dryers are among the most economical drying machines on the market and are ‘B’ rated for energy efficiency, which achieves 13% of energy savings compared to those with a ‘C’ rating. The special UseLogic® technology uses intelligent humidity sensors to continually monitor the moisture content of the load and automatically adjust the time of drying accordingly. The 7kg capacity ensures optimal drying on larger loads and even feature an Anti-Crease system to cut down on time spent ironing. A timer can be set for up to 12 hours so the drying process can start at a more convenient time – ideally taking advantage of the off-peak energy rates!
