Thrusting export sales

A 118-room, 4* hotel in Bruges, Belgium, is the latest export destination for a British-made bathroom accessory from Surrey-based R & D Marketing. Their demista™ heated mirror pads are incorporated into bathroom mirrors installed in 118 guest rooms at the Grand Hotel Casselbergh, Bruges – which is made up of three old Bruges mansions with a new wing at the back. The installation was by Belgian hotel supplier VDB Productions.
Exports now make up around 60% of demista™ sales, say R & D owners, Ruth and David Perl.
demista™ heated mirror pads keep mirrors free of condensation, however steamy the bathroom. They are economical to run, costing around 1p for 32 hours running, fixed behind the mirror and are usually wired into the bathroom lighting. A wide range of sizes is available as well as a custom-made facility.
R & D Marketing, based in Cobham, Surrey, supply major hotel groups, hospitals, leisure centres, as well as housebuilders and refurbishment projects. International hotels with demista™ installed include Hiltons, worldwide; InterContinential – Istanbul; Sheratons – Italy; Ritz-Carlton and Burj Al Arab – Dubai; Trader – Singapore; Taj Group – India. Export sales are through a worldwide network of distributors and agents, as well as those supplied direct.
R & D Marketing also market bathroom cabinets with heated mirrors, Cosyfloor™ electric underfloor heating systems and the Digital Door Viewer™ security device.
