Smeg works for breast cancer


Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg is pleased to announce its partnership with Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK ’s leading breast cancer charity, for a second year running. Between 1 st August and 31 st December Smeg will make a 10% donation on the sale of all pink appliances.

Not only will the purchase of Smeg’s pink products up the feel good factor but it will also boost your eco-credentials. Each Smeg refrigerator in the Breakthrough range is A+ energy efficient with the dishwashers and washing machine boasting a triple A energy rating.

In addition, the L30 FAB flueless fire is able to convert 100% gas to heat via a high tech catalytic conversion system, significantly reducing fuel costs and contributing to a greener environment.

Brand Manager for Smeg, Cally Elston comments “We are delighted to be teaming up with such a worthwhile cause as Breakthrough Breast Cancer. After a successful partnership in 2008, which saw our customers raise £20,000 for the charity, we are looking forward to making another helpful and hefty donation in 2009.”

To trigger the donation, all customers need to do is complete and return a simple claim form which is downloadable from www.smegretro.co.uk. The website displays the full Smeg Retro collection, including the Breakthrough range.
