Retailer forges ahead with online and in-store sales

NORTH East kitchen and bathroom retailer Low Cost Interiors has reported strong sales for its latest store and a rise in online sales.

Low Cost Interiors has two North East showrooms, in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool, and also sells kitchens and bathrooms to trade customers and the public through its website, www.lowcostbathrooms.com

Managing director Wayne Spriggs believes the company is well-placed to withstand the effects of the economic downturn thanks to the affordability of its products.

He said: “We offer great value to customers and that’s vital in challenging markets.

“We have noticed a more varied clientele in recent months which proves everyone is looking for good quality products at prices they can afford.”

Low Cost Interiors sells its own range of kitchen and bathroom products under its Duvalli brand, as well as a wide range of other brands. The latest Duvalli range has just been launched.

The company’s Hartlepool store opened six months ago, and after a steady start business is now booming.

Wayne said: “The Hartlepool store is in a fantastic location and it looks great – this even caused us a few problems initially because people were worried the products would be out of their price range – but there is something for everyone and customers have now realised that.

“We’re thrilled with the progress of the new store and we are now looking at potential sites for our next showroom.”
