| Steam free mirrors reflect on the Olympics

Athletes and officials moving into the Olympic Village residential apartments for the 2012 Games will benefit from the very latest in practical bathrooms for washing and showering. One special feature will be the steam-free bathroom mirrors and cabinets all fitted with British-made demista™heated mirror pads. These ensure that the mirrors or bathroom cabinets stay clear of steam in the area of the heated pad fitted invisibly behind the mirror glass.
After the 2012 Games, the apartment blocks in the Olympic Village are destined to provide essential new housing for east London. The Village will be transformed into 2,800 new homes, including 1,379 affordable homes.
R & D Demista who market the demista™heated mirror pads and bathroom cabinets have supplied to date a total of 2.500 mirror pads to two of the contractors for the Olympic Village – Ardmore Construction Ltd and Weatherald Wood Components. These have been fitted behind the mirrors and custom-made bathroom cabinets installed in the prefabricated ‘pods’.
