KBB was a great success says Allied Kingswood

Allied Kingswood , one of the UK ’s leading national distributors of furniture for the kitchen and home, appliances, worktops, sinks and taps, experienced great success at this year’s kbb show.

The Allied Kingswood stand was a real highlight of the show for many, and the team saw a huge number of existing and new customers over the four days. This has generated many sales leads, proving that the show was the ideal platform for Allied Kingswood to garner interest in their new portfolio.

The kbb Birmingham 2010 Show, which marked the grand finale of the introduction of the remodelled Allied Kingswood, saw the launch of nine new ranges from the revamped and extended portfolio; including two German rigid kitchen furniture brands; one British rigid kitchen furniture brand; and a German rigid bathroom furniture brand. There was also a wide selection of built-in appliances, from premium brands such as Neff and Küppersbusch, and Allied Kingswood’s own brand, the new Kingswood Appliances.

Key highlights of the stand included a unique lacquered black glass, handle-less contemporary kitchen from Evo Küchen, perfectly complemented by walnut book-matched drawer fronts and a bank of appliance housings finished in high gloss lacquered pistachio. This eye-catching kitchen featured exclusive black chrome appliances from Küppersbusch, positioned for maximum effect.

A firm favourite with many visitors was the Evo Küchen Manhattan kitchen; a stunning, eye-catching blue glass optic kitchen, whose iridescent blue, high gloss lacquered finish provided a dramatic entrance to the stand. With innovative features including extra deep drawer units, sophisticated servo drive wall units, and a fully integrated American-style fridge freezer from Küppersbusch it made for a spectacular centrepiece.

Neil Parker, Sales Director, says: “Some nine months ago we set out on a path to change the business model at Allied Kingswood. We wanted to move into areas of the market we did not exist in, trade with different partners and build new business relationships. We created teams of people to drive this process and involved everyone as we moved through the changes. The culmination was always going to be the kbb Birmingham 2010 Show.

“Our stand saw the launch of nine new products – this is unprecedented in our industry and something many said was impossible to do. However, from the start of the show to the end we simply didn’t stop as the stand was so busy! We generated many superb leads and received great feedback on our new ranges. The show was certainly worth doing and I would like to personally thank all those who made it possible.”
